Some of the worst movies and television series have been set in New York and I have watched them all. Just to soak up the city. Having small children and low resources has made it quite difficult to get over there in recent years. So I'll take any hit I can get. Even season 6 of Gossip Girl. Yes, I know.The best thing about visiting New York City is, even as a tourist, the city offers more than sights, restaurants, museums and bars. Despite the apparent gentrification of Manhattan, there's still a flicker of the fabric that made the city great in the first place, the rich mixture of cultures from all over the globe. Making a long weekend break in the city that never sleeps, my perfect type of holiday.
